Nyack, NY – October 27, 2010 – Over 200 members of the Nyack Hospital Medical Staff came together at the Annual Physician Celebration held at X20 Xaviars on the Hudson. Nyack Hospital Physician Honoree Lawrence Glassman, MD, and Citizen of the Year William M. Trust, Jr. were surrounded by family, friends and colleagues, who recognized their important contributions to Nyack Hospital and their commitment to caring for the community.

Dr. Glassman, a plastic surgeon, has been a member of the Nyack Hospital Medical Staff since 1985. Dr. Glassman graduated with honors from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society for medical students, as well as The Johns Hopkins University Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Glassman received his surgical training at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, and specialized in Plastic Surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and plays an active role in teaching plastic surgeons the advanced techniques of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is an active member of both the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He currently serves as Chief of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the Medical Executive Committee at Nyack Hospital. He is Past President of the Medical Staff. A longtime resident of Rockland County, Dr. Glassman is a partner with Natural Images in Plastic Surgery. His dedication to his patients, family and friends is admired by all who know him.
Nyack Hospital Board Chair William Trust is a business management consultant who focuses on the not-for-profit community and a longtime resident of New City. In addition to his role of Board Chairman at Nyack Hospital, he serves as Board Chairman of Presidential Life Insurance. Mr. Trust is very active in business and community organizations, serving as a member of the Board of Directors for the Jawonio Foundation, Past President of the New City Jaycees, and Past President of the New York City Chapter of the Financial Executives Institute. He also serves as a member of the Finance Committee of the Community of The Sisters of Saint Dominic of Caldwell. Mr. Trust was the President/CEO of Monitel Products Corp. and Industrial Innovation Management Corp. He has held senior financial roles for companies in a variety of industries, including international shipping, architecture, real estate development and investment banking.
A graduate of the University of The City of New York, Mr. Trust also earned his MBA in Management from Baruch College and is a certified CPA. Bill's role as proud father, grandfather, uncle, and brother was evident as he was warmly supported by many of his family members in attendance at the event.
