NyackHospital’s Continuing Medical Education Committee will host another series of its popular Mini-MedicalSchool during September and October.This special series is designed for anyone looking to learn more about the latest advances in medicine or young people and students thinking about medical careers.
Each lecture is presented by a member of NyackHospital’s team, and a question and answer session will follow.The following programs are available:
- September 13 – “Introduction to Energy Medicine” presented by Robin Laufer, MS, Ed, RYT 500
- September 20 – “Cataract Surgery” presented by John Chang, MD
- September 27 – “Pre-Diabetes and Diabetes” presented by Linda Suarez, MS, RN, CDE
- October 4 – “Heel Pain” presented by Jaime Garber, DPM
- October 11 – “Update on Osteoporosis” presented by Oliver Kurucz, MD
- October 18 – “Drug Interactions with Herbal Medicine” presented by Joseph Pinto, MS, RPh; Andras Farkas, PharmD; and Reena Tejura, PharmD.
