Silvercrest Vice President of Nursing Honored With 2010 Circle of Excellence Award

Queens, NY – June 16, 2010 – Marie Mitchell, Vice President of Nursing Services, was recently honored with a Circle of Excellence Award at the 2010 National Conference of the National Association Directors of Nursing Administration/Long Term Care (NADONA).  The NADONA Circle of Excellence Award recognizes nurse managers who demonstrate excellence in coordination of available resources to efficiently and effectively care for acutely or critically ill patients and their families. Circle of Excellence Award winners are also recognized for promoting the following: an environment of professional involvement, development and accountability, collaborative problem solving.

 

“We are all very proud of Marie’s accomplishments and her long track record of staff empowerment and transformative leadership,” said Michael Tretola, Senior Vice President and Administrator.  “Nursing is at the core of the great and noble works done here at Silvercrest and our accomplishments start with outstanding nurse leadership.”

 

Winners of the Circle of Excellence Award were judged for meeting high standards within the long term care continuum and were honored at a special dinner at the NADONA Annual Conference.
