Nyack, NY – April 12, 2010 – Nyack Hospital has been named a National Finalist by PLANSPONSOR Magazine, a trade publication for organizations and professionals in the employee benefits industry, as Plan Sponsor of the Year. The Hospital was nominated for this award as a 403(b)/Non- Profit Organization.
PLANSPONSOR’s Plan Sponsor for the Year Awards for Excellence honor organizations that have worked tirelessly to help build more financially secure retirement plans for their employees. Nyack Hospital and its fellow nominees were recognized for challenging themselves to focus on the workforce and possessing the wisdom to create, sustain and expand benefit programs.
At Nyack Hospital, the biggest accomplishment of the benefits team has been the consolidation of the retirement program to a single provider and the reduction of expenses for the roughly 1,200 employees who participate in the program.
