Bronxville, NY – April 5, 2010 – The Center for Sleep Medicine at Lawrence Hospital is proud to announce its grand opening to serve the greater Westchester County community. The center is conveniently located inside the hospital on the fifth floor at 55 Palmer Avenue in Bronxville. It provides professional consultation, diagnostic and treatment services for all types of sleep disorders. The Center for Sleep Medicine at Lawrence Hospital is under the medical direction of Rochelle Waldman, MD, a well-established specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. Dr. Waldman is board certified in this specialty by The American Board of Sleep Medicine.
If you are tired during the day, snoring or having trouble sleeping, you are not alone. More than 70 million Americans suffer from some form of sleep disorder. Sleep deprivation has been linked to serious medical conditions such as stroke, hypertension, diabetes, obesity and even depression.
When a patient comes to Lawrence for a sleep study, s/he will enjoy the comfort of one of four hotel-like testing suites. You can also have a snack and have access to a shower and your own private bathroom. During the night, a trained sleep technician monitors while you sleep. The next day your study is complete. It is then reviewed by Dr. Waldman and a diagnosis is sent to your doctor.
The Center for Sleep Medicine at Lawrence Hospital treats children and adults. If you would like to improve your sleep health, call us at 914-787-4400.
