Brooklyn, NY – March 18, 2010 – New York Methodist Hospital’s (NYM) Center for Allied Health Education is now accepting applications for the upcoming academic year, which begins September 2010. The Center for Allied Health Education offers programs in radiography, radiation therapy technology, medical technology, diagnostic medical sonography and emergency medical services. The Center also offers advanced courses for radiologic technologists interested in computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), as well as certification and refresher courses for paramedics seeking recertification.
Through several college affiliations, students enrolled at NYM’s Center for Allied Health Education can earn college credits towards a Bachelor of Science degree. The radiation therapy, diagnostic sonography and radiography programs are two-year courses of study. All other programs can be completed in one year.
Divided into four schools and one institute, the Center for Allied Health Education is part of a broadening educational initiative at New York Methodist Hospital. The Center, well known for its excellent clinical educators, has a history of providing high quality training in each of its programs.
