Nyack, NY – May 7, 2009 – Nyack Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Joseph Pinto and Director of Pharmacy. Mr. Pinto brings to Nyack Hospital a strong background in pharmacy management, having worked at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center and NYU Medical Center. He is experienced in implementing automated pharmacy systems and direct pharmacy operations in healthcare facilities.
As Pharmacy Director, Mr. Pinto will be responsible for the daily operations and oversight in the Pharmacy Department, with an emphasis on ensuring quality and safety for patients and staff.
Mr. Pinto holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Saint John’s University College of Pharmacy and a Master of Science degree in Pharmacotherapeutics from Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York. He is a member of the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists and the New York State Council of Heath-System Pharmacists and was elected President of the New York City Council of Health-System Pharmacists.
