Mineola, NY – April 9, 2009 – In an effort to assist healthcare providers in clinical decision-making for the successful treatment of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) – a rare genetic heart condition – the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the American Heart Association (AHA) have formed a committee of 13 leading experts to develop guidelines for the diagnosis and management of the disease.
