Dr. Simpser presented on St. Mary’s life-affirming Pediatric Palliative Care and End of Life program, the first program of its kind in the United States, which is widely modeled internationally. Impressed with Dr. Simpser’s wide scope of knowledge, clinicians at Hadassah are eager to visit St. Mary’s, one of this country’s largest providers of intensive rehabilitation, specialized care, and education, for children with special needs, to learn more about the healthcare system’s innovative programs and services and how they can be implemented in Israel.

As a frequent lecturer at national meetings and academic centers across the country, Dr. Simpser is responsible for advancing pediatric healthcare for children with special needs by introducing leading edge programs and services at St. Mary’s.

Dr. Simpser’s work with children is also a family affair.  He and his wife, Debbie, Director of Special Services at the Hebrew Academy of Nassau County in Plainview, will be honored by the Young Israel of Plainview for their years of dedication and service to the community and their work on behalf of children and their families. The Simpsers will be recognized at Young Israel of Plainview’s Annual Testimonial Dinner on February 22^nd at the Crest Hollow Country Club.
