New Infusion Center for New York Methodist Patients

Brooklyn, NY – February 1, 2009  – A ribbon cutting ceremony was recently held to mark the opening of the new Park Slope Infusion Center.  The Center, located at 343 Fourth Avenue, is affiliated with New York Methodist Hospital.   Mark J. Mundy, president and CEO of the Hospital, and David Dosik, M.D., medical director of the Park Slope Infusion Center addressed the event attendees and cut the ceremonial ribbon. “This is a big day in the history of our Hospital,” said Mark J. Mundy. “We are delighted to provide our patients with these important services in such a convenient and attractive setting.” Attendees were treated to tours of the state-of-the-art facility.

The Center, which has been treating patients since October 6, 2008, provides services and therapies that include chemotherapy, infusions of medications, injections and transfusions. In addition to treating all forms of cancer, the Infusion Center offers therapy for blood disorders, rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s Disease, anemia and osteoporosis.

The facility includes 29 private treatment stations, a pharmacy/mixing unit, two laboratories, two nursing stations, physician offices and an examination room. Patients can enjoy amenities such as free Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the facility, individual flat screen televisions with Direct T.V. access, a comfortable family waiting area with a library and all new state-of-the-art equipment.
