Bronxville, NY – February 22, 2009 – Lawrence Hospital Center has earned full approval from the American College of Surgeons as a member of its Bariatric Surgery Center Network.  Lawrence’s program, located at its Center for Advanced Surgery, includes Board-certified surgeons who are recognized pioneers in laparoscopic weight loss surgery.  

Additionally, nurse practitioners and registered dieticians complete its team.  To earn this distinction, Lawrence physicians and support staff had to undergo a rigorous review process which included a site visit and analysis of its cases.  The Center for Advanced Surgery is a partnership with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
