Nyack, NY - December 1, 2008 - Nyack Hospital will host a free educational program, "Management and Care of the Patient with Chronic, Non-Healing Wounds" on Tuesday, December 16 at 7:00 pm. This program will be presented by Lawrence Simon, MD, Chief of Surgery and Medical Director of the Wound Care Center at Nyack Hospital, and Carol Ackerman, Program Director, Wound Care Center.
Topics covered at this program include:
· Wound grading and staging
· Discussion of appropriate dressing choices
· Evidence-based treatment modalities
· Latest wound care techniques and treatments
This program is designed for physicians, nurses and other medical professionals.
Light refreshments will be served. Registration is required by calling 845.348.7600. 1 hour of Continuing Education credit is available for attendees.
