Nyack Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Kathleen M. Kane, Ph.D., RN (photo left) as Director of Nursing for Education & Professional Practice and Donna Damon, BSN, (photo right) Informatics Manager.
In her role of Director of Nursing for Education & Professional Practice, Ms. Kane will be responsible for enhancing the educational offerings and developing a professional practice model for nursing staff. A resident of Croton-on-Hudson, she has worked at Queens Hospital Center, FidelisCare New York, and Blythedale Children's Hospital in various nursing leadership roles. She holds an M.A. and a Ph.D. from Fordham University, an M.S.E. from St. John's University and a B.S.N. from Adelphi.
As Informatics Manager, Ms. Damon's primary responsibility is to provide clinical input and knowledge in the development of Nyack Hospital's state of the art computerized documentation system. A resident of Stony Point, she was most recently employed by ACS Healthcare Solutions as a Senior Consultant and as a Clinical Analyst for Meditech. Ms. Damon holds a B.S.N. from SUNY New Paltz and an A.A.S. from Rockland Community College.
