Nyack, NY - June 4, 2008 - Nyack Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Mary Ann Anderson, RN, MSN, (photo at right) to the position of Vice President of Patient Care Services/Chief Nursing Officer.
Most recently, Ms. Anderson served as Director of Nursing, Informatics and Quality at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY. Previously, she was employed as the Director of Nursing, Clinical Systems at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston Salem, NC and Assistant Vice President, Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center, Plainfield, NJ. Ms. Anderson's experience in nursing quality improvement, with emphasis on surgical services, information systems, and Magnet designation preparation will further enhance the level of care provided to the Hospital's patients.
Ms. Anderson received her Diploma ni Nursing from Saint Vincent's Medical Center and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Rutgers University. In addition, she holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Wagner College. She is board certified by the American Nursing Association in advanced nursing administration, serves as a Magnet Recognition Program appraiser, and is active in a number of professional activities related to Nursing practice and standards. Ms. Anderson is also the author of numerous publications in the Nursing professional literature and a frequent presenter on clinical practice, quality improvement, and informatics topics.
