The Silvercrest Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is a 320-bed skilled nursing facility in residential Briarwood, Queens. It is a state-of-the-art post-acute care center of excellence that exists to serve the community especially those who need special supports and programs to enhance their capacity for life. Silvercrest has an environment that nurtures individuals while never forgetting their aspirations for independence. Silvercrest is well known for excellence in skilled nursing care. We serve older and younger adults who are chronically ill and make Silvercrest their home. We also serve people who need restorative therapy and rehabilitation before returning to an independent lifestyle, along with ventilator-dependent patients who require a specialized program for weaning them from ventilator to gain a better quality of life. Silvercrest also provides a nurturing and safe environment for people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia related disorders, as well as hospice care.
We understand that nursing home placement can be difficult. To make things easier, we have a streamlined admitting process that is easy and efficient. We offer financial counseling for families who feel costs are a burden. With our liberal visiting hours and helpful staff, we hope to help make your transition here a little easier.

Our comprehensive rehabilitation services cover all the bases, meeting patients’ needs for physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology in a 3,000-square foot facility designed to help them on the path to independent living. Patients who require complex medical care such as tube feedings and wound care also receive the expert care they need. Our staff is dedicated to providing quality care that fosters independence and dignity for all who make Silvercrest their home.
The Silvercrest Center is proud to be a corporate member of the NewYork-Presbyterian Health Care System, and an affiliate of Weill Cornell Medical College. Silvercrest has a nationally renowned and award-winning respiratory care program which has been recognized by the American Association of Respiratory Care and has received the Optima Award for quality from Nursing Homes Magazine. The Silvercrest Center has also won a Patient Safety Award from the New York State Department of Health for our feeding tube management program. Silvercrest is Joint Commission accredited and is a member of the national Advancing Excellence in Nursing Homes campaign.
