Palisades was one of only two hospitals in New Jersey and the only hospital in Hudson County to recently receive a perfect 100 score for its treatment of heart attack patients by the New Jersey’s Department of Health & Senior Service Hospital Performance Report.  The report also ranked Palisades as the #1 hospital in Hudson County for treating patients with congestive heart failure.

Improving Emergency Care

Palisades has taken a proactive approach to improve its emergency care services that currently assists more than 35,000 residents each year. Structural upgrades, technology enhancements and new processes in the ER have dramatically improved all quality indicators. Comprehensive Care During Pregnancies

Palisades new Maternal-Fetal Medicine Department helps women with high-risk pregnancies and expands on the Birthing Centers services. The department consists of a highly trained support staff including a Board-certified perinatologist and it features 4-D ultrasound technology to deliver the best diagnostic information available. Focused on Patient Safety

Bar-coding technology - the kind that grocery stores and retailers have used for decades to improve efficiency and accuracy - is now enhancing patient safety at Palisades. The Medication Administration Check (MAK) system uses bar-coding to correctly match patients against their mediation orders.
