New York Westchester Square Medical Center, established in 1929, is located in the northeast Bronx and attracts a wide ethnic and socio-economic range of patients from both Westchester and the Bronx. The Hospital provides inpatient services that are designed to offer the best in modern medical and nursing care in a comfortable and attractive environment. We offer services ranging from cardiac care specialty units to laser surgery in a friendly and caring atmosphere. Our outpatient surgical unit enables patients to undergo a multitude of procedures and return to their families the same day.

The staff of over 1,000 qualified doctors, nurses, social workers, technicians and other healthcare professionals annually serve over 50,000 patients, through in-hospital care, Emergency Room treatment or outpatient services. The geographic regions from which our primary and secondary service area is comprised are both urban and suburban. The areas we serve are comprised of middle income as well as the disadvantaged. Many of our healthcare consumers are bilingual (Spanish and Italian are spoken frequently).
